Michelle is very committed to the welfare, development and achievement of young people. She is passionate about supporting them, and has used a range of varied means to help them. …
Walking for Wellbeing began in May 2016. At this time, I was working as a Mentor and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Leader at Hazelwick School in Crawley. I ran the course successfully until July 2017 when I left Hazelwick School to turn Walking for Wellbeing into a business. After much consideration the business has now been converted into a Community Interest Company.
We work with education establishments and other community groups in Surrey and Sussex providing intervention and self-development courses.
Our desire is to see young lives transformed as they connect with nature, gaining an understanding of its value and benefits.
We aim to challenge and inspire young people through new experiences to help them to realise the strengths and abilities that we believe each one of them has.
With strong ethical values forming the basis of our work, participants will see staff modelling kindness, compassion and respect.
Students will always be set up to succeed so the courses are flexible to account for individual need, ensuring participant safety and maximum progress of the individual.
