Walking For Wellbeing Blog
Welcome to our new blog where you'll be able to hear all the latest from Walking for Wellbeing!
Walking for Wellbeing was established in May 2016. At this time I was working as a Mentor and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Leader at Hazelwick School in Crawley. After successfully running the course for over a year I left the school and set Walking for Wellbeing up as a Community Interest Company.
We now work with education establishments, mental health support groups and other community organisations in Sussex providing intervention and self-development courses.
Our desire is to see people’s lives transformed as they connect with nature, gaining an understanding of its value and benefits.
We aim to challenge and inspire people through new experiences to help them to realise the strengths and abilities that we believe each person has.
With strong ethical values forming the basis of our work, participants will see staff modelling kindness, compassion and respect.
Participants will always be set up to succeed so the courses are flexible to account for individual need, ensuring the safety and maximum progress of the individual.
